Widow & Orphan Container City: Rebuilding Dignity
After the earthquake in Hatay, widows and orphans lost everything—homes, incomes, and stability. Today, 50 families live in container homes. Another 15–20 families outside the camp depend on this community for food.
The Crisis
-
Families survive on one hot meal a day, costing $120.
-
The foundation pays the chef, but not the food.
-
250 homes completely destroyed, leaving families in makeshift shelters or the open air
-
Widows are unemployed.
-
Children—orphans—have uncertain futures.
The Children: Sponsor an Orphan
Orphans here are some of the most vulnerable in the ummah. With $55/month or $660/year, you can sponsor an orphan and provide:
- Food and clothing
- School and education
- Healthcare
- Savings for their future
You will receive updates and know exactly how your sponsorship changes their life.

The Mothers: Employ the Widows
We aim to build a bakery inside the camp. This bakery will:
- Employ widows to bake bread daily
- Feed the community
- Generate income by selling bread to local markets
This is sadaqah jariyah—an investment in both sustenance and dignity.
