Education-Increased
Initiative for Girls
Around the globe, 131 million girls are deprived of education, with girls being 50% more likely to be denied this basic right compared to boys. The long-term consequences are evident as only 55% of women have the opportunity to work, while 78% of men do. Data from the World Bank reveals that gender disparities in the workplace could lead to a potential global loss of $160 trillion – a staggering figure that’s twice the total value of the global economy.
Livelihood-Increased for Women
Disturbingly, 1.7 billion adults globally lack access to bank accounts. Out of this number, 1 billion are women. To exacerbate the issue, 72 countries explicitly prohibit women from opening bank accounts or availing credit facilities. Furthermore, violence against women, both inside and outside the workplace, results in a global economic loss of $1.5 trillion.
Humanity-Increased is committed to supporting women and children throughout their life journey, from ensuring education access to providing opportunities for work. Our belief is that empowering women is not only beneficial for the global economy but is also the morally right action.
