Uyghur Widows & Orphans at Risk of Losing Their Homes
After fleeing persecution in East Turkestan, thousands of Uyghur refugees sought safety in Turkey. But now, many are facing a new crisis: economic displacement.
Over 800 Uyghur widows, many of whom are caring for disabled orphaned children or are disabled themselves, are on the verge of losing their homes. With rent prices tripling and jobs nearly impossible to find, they’re trapped in a cycle of poverty, fear, and uncertainty.
This appeal prioritizes
- Widows with disabled children
- Widows unable to work due to illness or disability
- Families facing immediate eviction
“Whoever relieves a believer’s hardship, Allah will relieve him of a hardship on the Day of Judgment.
— Sahih Muslim
